Logitech Hits A Homerun with Holiday Gifts for the Whole Family!

When my family and I got invited to preview the latest gadgets from Logitech at the Coop L.A., the automatic answer was, "Heck, YEAH!". So you mean to say that I get to try out all of your newest products AND my kids will be occupied and entertained?! Someone's been reading my diary!!!

My first stop was at the Logi BLOK protective case demonstration area where they clamped a brand new iPad 6 feet in the air then had one of the kids release it onto the ground. Of course, every kid was excited for their turn to drop the iPad and send it plummeting down. That's right, the same iPad dropped over and OVER again without breaking because it was protected by the Logi BLOK case. I cringed every time it happened and EVERY time I was amazed that the iPad was completely fine! If your kids have sticky fingers like mine then you'll definitely have to put this protective Shell or Case on their wish list.

The next station was the Artemis Spectrum headphones. I slid them on and listened to "Hello" and it felt like Adele was singing right beside me. I could almost feel the wind from the video. Ok, I'm exaggerating but that's how crystal clear the sound IS. Plus, my hubby loved the customized lighting features on the headphones.

My husband also played a couple of games with the portable Atlas Spectrum keyboard and the lightweight Daedalus Apex gaming mouse and he said both worked seamlessly together. When you combine the headphones, keyboard and mouse, he said the experience will definitely be a hit with all the gamers out there. I, on the other hand, was more impressed with the fact that the ear guards are washable! You hear me, WASHABLE! Every mother's dream.

Last but not least, my favorite gadget the Logi Circle. It's a camera that allows you to monitor your home no matter where you ARE! This is perfect especially for travelers. If you ever just want to check in on your pets, sitter or kids, you can do so right from your smartphone. It's portable, rechargeable and can last up to 12 hours in power save mode. I love the fact that you can get a 30 second day brief of the most interesting things that happened that day. Really convenient for capturing those moments you would miss when you're away from home.

So if you're stuck on a gift idea this holiday season, check out Logitech because they'll definitely have something for the whole family!

Disclaimer: No monetary compensation was received for this post. I was gifted the items mentioned on this review and all of the thoughts expressed on this blog are my own personal opinion.

Make-up Mayhem!

I was VERY excited to get my hair and make-up done for my sister's wedding yesterday. I even had pictures of how I wanted everything to look so it "should" go easy-peasy, right? WRONG!!!

The make-up artist, started with my overall foundation, which was fine. Things got shaky when she got to my eyes. I've always loved make-up but don't wear it on an everyday basis, mostly just for special occasions so I'm not an expert BUT I do know what looks good and what makes me look like a clown. She said she was done with my eyes so I took a look in the mirror and what I saw was startling. I said, "This DOESN'T look like the picture." and she "honestly" thought it looked like the picture (which is to the right) I showed her! YOU be the judge. Do they look the same? Or do I look like I got punched in the eyes?! Or a raccoon?! MY 6 year-old could've done the same job and it wouldn't have cost $85!

She "tried" to fix it but just made it worst. Eventually, the owner agreed that it DIDN'T look like the photo and said she could try to fix it BUT I would have to come back in two hours, which would make me late for wedding festivities. At this point I said "I" can fix it but I needed access to their make-up. So they did my hair, which was actually AMAZING and then agreed to let me fix the make-up myself. This is how it looked after "I" blended, lightened and actually copied the photo that I originally showed them. Then my make up artist offered to put on fake lashes which I agreed to. I mean, she couldn't mess THAT up, right? WRONG!!! When I left, the lashes came OFF (picture to the left) half my lid so I had to go to buy glue to, "once again", FIX what she couldn't do right in the first place. UGH.

Tips:

Call ahead and find out how much experience the make-up artist has had BEFORE choosing one. Maybe even ask to see pictures of their previous work to help determine if you like their style.

Bring ALL of your own make-up just in case something like this happens.

Last but not least, know where the closest MAC make-up counter is in case you need a last minute make over.

Note: I decided NOT to include the name of the salon because my sister (the Bride) goes there frequently and since I will NEVER return there, just wanted to share tips and my personal experience.

Toothless Thursday

My sweet Isabella lost her first front tooth at school yesterday. Unfortunately, we didn't realize it was gone until we were home. She was so upset at the fact that she wouldn't have something to place under her pillow that she cried hysterically until I offered to comfort her with rainbow sherbet ice-cream.

Solution: Write a note explaining to the tooth fairy what happened and I'm sure she will understand. I hear she is a very "wise" and forgiving woman. Ask your father.

Low and behold, the next morning there was a tooth-shaped note along with a heart-shaped origami dollar (she is also very crafty) from the tooth fairy.

The note read: Dear Isabella, congratulations on losing your first front tooth! And don't worry I will find it. Keep brushing, take care of your brother and listen to mommy. She is "very" wise woman.

Me And A Hemsworth

I never get tongue tied. NEVER. Until this past Monday.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get invites to the "Ellen" show. We even got to view everything from backstage. It was going great until I took a sip of Diet Coke. I KNOW they give me headaches but for some reason I decided I needed that extra kick of caffeine (even though there was perfectly good coffee at my disposal). The second I took a sip, instant headache. I went to grab a bottled water (hoping that would help) and when I was walking back towards my husband, there HE WAS. Thor in all his glory. Chris-I'm-SO-good-looking-you-CAN'T-look-directly-AT-me-Hemsworth!

At this point, I felt paralyzed. My husband said something to him along the lines of, "Great interview." while I stood there. Mesmerized. Then my husband said, "Hey Chris, would you mind taking a picture with my wife?". And before I knew it SNAP SNAP! I couldn't speak. I literally can't recall ever having that problem so I must say it was a first in my book. And in case you were wondering, he smells like a fresh sea breeze and hope. Elsa Pataky is ONE lucky lady,...as am I.
